How to Join

Step One
The Audit

An audit gives the student an opportunity to audition the instruction
and work being presented in class.

A Non-Working Audit allows participation, but does not include instructor feedback.

A Working Audit allows participation and includes instructor feedback.

Singing Performance Working Audit:

A work session with your song that includes instructor's feedback

Please bring sheet music in an appropriate key

Acting Class Working Audit:

Perform your own 3 minute monologue or use provided cold reading material

Includes instructor feedback

An assistant will meet with you after the audit to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

You will be given a copy of the class policies.

It is very important that you read these policies thoroughly.

Step Two
The Interview

Once a student is prepared to join the class, it will be necessary to call and schedule a
private session interview to discuss the performer's experience and level of committment;
and to determine how the class can best be of value to the individual artist.

Please bring a resume and photograph.

Singers should bring their own song and a CD or tape of music.

Actors will work from a cold-read monologue.

Acceptance into the program will be determined at the end of the interview.

Step Three
Welcome to Class!

Classes always begin on time!

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time for parking.

Please do not park at the meters in front of the theater.
You will have to disrupt class in order to add more money.
There is usually free parking available behind the public pool
on Lexington between Cole and Cahuenga.
